We have all been through so much these past few months. From the pandemic to an epic storm (in which we lost power for a week), I'm choosing to revel in the days spent feeding my soul...not feeding my generator!
Every August, I crave getting off the grid with good friends for long unstructured days, vast horizons, and delicious regional finds. This August brought me to a corner of Maine I had never been to, savoring the freshest lobster al fresco, coasting between islands on my kayak, delighting in chocolate and ice cream desserts at dusk, and a beautiful socially-distanced rosé toast at sunset. These are the things that bring us closer and remind us what matters most. I hope you've been able to "take ten" and feed your soul this summer.
Thanks for all of your patience with us during the recent storm while we were off the grid and unable to take care of you.
The last few days of August are here.
Citrus, olive oil, garlic. Always.
Don't use the oven.
Breathe in the sunset breezes.
Crunch the ice.
Feel the rays.
Finish the book.
